Simunye Factory - Pan Instrument Overhaul (Pan 1–8)

Context

The pan instruments at Simunye Factory are the primary sensors feeding the boiling process. Across Pan 1 to Pan 8, the instruments had drifted out of calibration and the associated valve actuators had accumulated wear that was affecting control response. The site needed the instruments removed, overhauled, and put back into service within the same production window.

Approach

We removed the pan instruments from Pan 1 to Pan 8, stripped and overhauled the valve actuators, and inspected the liners while the assemblies were off the pans. Actuators and valve bodies were reassembled to specification, then the instruments were recalibrated and recommissioned in sequence. Each unit was tested against a known reference before being returned to control, so the readings feeding the boiling process were verified rather than assumed.
