Context
The distillery required a hoist installed at a new location within the plant. The installation needed to integrate with existing electrical infrastructure, route around or clear existing cable trays, and meet the site's hazardous-area requirements for the cable glanding and field isolator.
Approach
We installed the hoist and its electrical connections, laid and terminated SWA cables to the hoist, and fitted Posi Grip quick-stop EX IP68 glands rated for the environment. A field isolator with motor protection was installed at the operator position, and the existing cable tray was re-routed to clear the hoist's movement path. On completion, the installation was tested and commissioned.
