Motor Control Wiring

Starter Circuits Wired for Star-Delta, DOL, and VSD

We install and wire Star-Delta, DOL, reverse/forward, VSD, and soft-starter circuits for new motors and replacement starter panels on existing lines.

The right starter circuit for the motor

Not every motor needs the same starter. We wire Star-Delta and DOL circuits for standard induction motors, reverse/forward circuits where direction control matters, and VSD or soft-starter circuits where inrush current or process control calls for it. Every circuit is wired to drawing, terminated to spec, and tested under load before we sign off. If a starter panel already exists, we can also assess and rewire it rather than replace it outright.

  • Star-Delta and DOL circuits for standard induction motors
  • Reverse/forward wiring where direction control is required
  • VSD and soft-starter circuits for controlled starting
  • Assessment and rewiring of existing starter panels on request

Deliverables

What a job includes

  1. 01

    Assessment

We look at the motor, the load, and the existing panel before recommending a starter type.

  2. 02

    Scope & Quote

You get a written scope covering the starter type, wiring, and components, priced before work starts.

  3. 03

    Delivery

We install and wire the starter circuit to drawing, then terminate and test it under load.

  4. 04

    Commissioning Report

A signed report confirming what was installed, tested, and any settings applied.

Questions

Common questions

Can you rewire an existing starter panel?

Yes. If a starter panel is already installed, we assess the existing wiring and components first rather than assuming a full replacement is needed. In some cases the panel itself is fine and only the starter circuit needs attention. We'll tell you which applies before quoting, and quote only for the work the panel actually needs.

Do you install VSDs, or only DOL and Star-Delta?

We install VSD and soft-starter circuits as well as Star-Delta and DOL. Which one makes sense depends on the motor, the load, and whether you need controlled starting or speed control during operation. We can talk through the options for your specific motor before recommending one.

How long does a starter installation take?

Installation time depends on a few factors, such as the motor size, the starter type, and whether a new panel is being installed or an existing one rewired. We can give you a more specific estimate once we assess the motor and the site.
